Guess What

My son uses the phrase “Guess what.” approximately 1183 times a day. I don’t know if that’s typical, but I hope he outgrows it before he enters the workforce. I can imagine it will not be necessarily appreciated:

Hey, Boss! Guess what.

What?

I ran those tests you asked for, and guess what.

What?

I looked at the results, and guess what.

What?!

They were normal, but guess what.

What?!

I showed them to Marty in tech development, and guess what?

Just tell me!

He said they also looked normal, but guess what.

For the love!

(24 hours later, at the unemployment office)

And so I told my boss what Marty said, and guess what.

What?
